Senior Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Platform/Cloud Engineer, you will be the resident expert for all things cloud engineering for the data team. Some examples include.

• Developing basic infrastructure for a project including storage, networking, and governance in a scalable and maintainable way.
• Administering computer resources and services.
• Building deployment pipelines for packages, services, or images.
• Building and maintaining storage and data lifecycle management.
• Establishing observability and process control.

Experience:

• 5+ years
• 3+ years’ experience working with Cloud technologies (preferably Azure).

Required Skills:

• Deep experience building and supporting production systems in Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Expert understanding of platform essentials like storage, networking, load balancing, and containerization.
• Experience implementing identity and access control solutions.
• Experience with infra-as-code frameworks like Serverless, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines to deploy images, infrastructure, and code.
• Expert proficiency with Git and the ability to recommend branching strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience managing services on Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools and processes.
• Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem.
